Power of Secret, It Works.

Remember this post – Fatigue with PowerPoint, Try Graphic Recording that I had written on 19 Oct? I was pondering if there were such talents in Singapore. And this week I met one at Green Drinks. She is from Gogo Rama, a design consultancy firm if I got it correctly. There was Professor Jem Bendell who explored “What is a green drink?”, an improvised group exploration of our consumption and the implications for change. And yes, the lady drew instantaneous as Prof Jem spoke about green consumerism. View picture below.

Side-tracking a bit. As we talked about green consumerism – for example: less consumerism or actively making a conscious effort to choose product that has lower carbon footprints; I felt something was not right. We were at Itanliannes, an Italian restaurant at TripleOne Somerset. I found it incredibly oxymoronic as we sipped wine, drinking beers or enjoying pizzas.

  1. Yes, a greener venue would have been appropriate. But I didnt talk about green consumerism being the answer to the scale of our problems. I said the opposite.

Ill blog about it at some point but see the following from WWF which highlights some of the points.

The implication being sustainability requires all of us, our working lives, our citizenship, not just the odd purchase or non purchase here and there…

    • Thanks Jem for the clarification! I might be mislead by the social settings and topics we were discussing that day. =)
