Fatique with PowerPoint? Try Graphic Recording.

leave a comment »

I chanced upon this in Harvard Business Review Magazine Sept Issue .  It discussed about Graphic recording where it is also termed as visual facilitation. It has been around since at least the 1970s, when it was popularized by a group of San Francisco architects. It’s grown lately, driven in large part by PowerPoint fatigue.

I had been to many conferences, seminars and events but yet experience any of such in Asia yet. I wonder could it be a lack of exposure of such services or a lack of such creative professionals  in Asia? Or maybe there is no demand for such services too?

I done a quick google and realised there are many established players in US that are offering such services. You can view below some of the illustrations and th typical set-up in the room.
